I love the Forests. I love the Mountains. I love the glimpse of the Big City light. My aim is to combine the spirit and reflection of nature beauty with the vibrant feeling of a modern metropolis.
Born in 1989 and raised in South Germany, Sebastian Hallabrin grew up with the beauty of the Bavarian nature by spending most of his free time biking and hiking in the nearby Alps.
After finishing German High School he moved to London in 2009 where he immediately fell in love with the diversity of the big city life. By that time he got more and more into street photography, influenced by his back then roommate and vocational Vogue photographer. Before photography, as a hobby found him, Sebastian obtained a Double Master of Science Degree in Public Policy and Human Development in the Netherlands from Maastricht University / United Nations University. He also lived and studied photography in Istanbul for about a year, seeking inspiration from the cultural melting pot and cosmopolitan hub at the Bosporus. After finishing his studies, Sebastian moved to Paris and later to New York City and worked for different international organisations such as the OECD and United Nations. Back in Berlin he worked for several start- up companies helping to grow early stage businesses.
A bright and colourful ray of sunshine between skyscrapers in NYC, fog in the morning while standing on a rooftop in Berlin, the moment metro train 6 in Paris is reaching Pont the Bir- Hakeim, his passion lies in capturing a fresh atmosphere by catching a unique sense of light and perspective.
Currently Sebastian Hallabrin lives in South Germany working in the IT sector and improving his photography on a daily basis.
